Maine Financial Planning Exemptions
- Retirement Accounts Exemption: up to $1,000,000
- Homestead Exemption: $80k (generally) $160k if the debtor's minor dependents residewith the debtor, or if the debtor is over age 60 or cannot engage in gainful employment due to disability.
- Life Insurance Exemption: Interest of beneficiary in proceeds and avails 100% protected. Interest of owner protected up to $4,000.
- Annuity (Non-IRA/ERISA) Cash Value Exemption: 100% to the extent reasonably necessary for the support of the debtor and any dependent of the debtor.
